Obama: A Change We Can Upload

October 22nd, 2008 by Dorrk.com

In that Andy McCarthy piece I quoted earlier today, there was mention of how (former?) Maoist Mike Klonsky was functionally erased from Obama’s campaign web site when a blogger pointed out his literally revolutionary ideas on education. This isn’t the first time I’ve read about controversial information unmysteriously vanishing from the Internet when it becomes inconvenient for Obama. I haven’t been able to find a comprehensive round-up of these instances, so I’ll compile the few I can recall here:

Mike Klonsky: Here Yesterday, Gone today.

Eye-witness corroboration that Obama launched his state senate bid at William Ayers’ house disappears after he denies it in debate.

Stanley Kurtz has to sue to gain access to public records of Obama’s work for the Annenberg Challenge.

Obama’s membership in socialist New Party disappears.

“ACORN? What is this ACORN of which you speak?”

I can no more disown Rev. Wright than I can delete him from my web site…. Oh, wait…

Obama’s opposition to the surge vanishes.

That’s just what i could come up with quickly. I seem to recall another Kurtz article that I’ll try to dig up in which his online sources were disappearing as he was working on his article. (Interestingly, at least two other sites where I looked for similar stories were completely down.) And this is in addition to Obama’s oral revisionism, like claiming that he never said he’d meet Ahmedinejad without pre-conditions, even though the video evidence says just the opposite.

Is he really a bold new old-politics-be-damned beacon for a new age? Or just another audaciously cynical self-spinner with a closet full of telling radical associations?
