So we picked up the DVD of Team America tonight. You know how most DVDs that claim to be"Uncut" don’t really have anything obviously cut-worthy in them? For those of you who saw Team America at the cinema, especially, you’re probably scratching your head, wondering: "If the puppet sex scene that I just saw made it through with an R-rating, what could possibly have been cut?"

Well, the second you see the first "uncut" moment of this DVD, you will know it. Instantly. And five seconds later you will see something that is even more outrageous. I thought beforehand that I could guess what might not have made it past the censors. But never underestimate Trey Parker and Matt Stone to out-gross your imagination. Let’s just say, I’m really glad that I couldn’t predict what the "uncut" material was. It makes me feel less dirty, even though I still feel pretty dirty having now seen it.

The bottom line is, I don’t know if I would recommend the "uncut" version to all of you. While I laughed pretty damned hard at those ten seconds, I wouldn’t feel right to not say, check out the theatrical version, if it’s available, and you’ll sleep a lot more soundly than I will.
