Osama Unplugged

October 31st, 2004 No Comments

If you thought the new Osama tape sounded strangely anemic (in that overly expositional way often employed by soon-to-be foiled James-Bond villians) as first reported on, the New York Post has spoken to sources who have allegedly seen the full 18-minute tape.
Interesting that this part that may have bolstered support for Bush’s approach to the [...]

Also on Eminem

October 31st, 2004 No Comments

During his SNL performances, it looked a lot like he was using a teleprompter — consistently looking down toward the stage monitors — for his lyrics.
I can understand why: his lyrics are very complex in their own way, but wouldn’t that hurt his rap cred, where freestyling is king?

Ashlee is a patsy

October 31st, 2004 No Comments

Tonight on Drudge’s radio show he claimed that Eminem was caught lip-syncing on SNL a week after Ashlee’s melt down. For some reason I cannot remember, I happened to have taped SNL last night. So I cued up Eminem’s first number and there were a couple of very clear moments when he lowered his mic [...]

Swallowing the Bitter Pill of Kerry

October 31st, 2004 No Comments

You hate John Kerry…you think he’s a total jerk (and by almost all accounts he is—have you read a heartwarming story about John Kerry….ever?)….
Nevertheless, you are going to vote for him because you thinks awful is better than horrid. So go here and don’t feel so bad. It’s Kerry Haters for Kerry. [...]

Regarding the Reader’s Post

October 30th, 2004 No Comments

Obviously, the reader response targeting my law studies/Boston Red Sox/posting pictures posts has a bug up their ass regarding my studies, the Red Sox and my enthusiasm. Quite frankly, I found the reader’s comments pretty boring. Out of the all the offensive material on this website, the reader found my post offensive, silly or childish [...]

Funny Videos

October 30th, 2004 No Comments

I stumbled upon this today. There’s some funny stuff on here. My favorites:
Triump the Insult Comic Dog (very funny)
Andrew Dice Clay freaks out on CNN (funny, but sad)
William Shatner “Singing” Rocket Man (unbelievable and it’s from a show in the 1970’s which makes it even better)
Carl Lewis’ totally homo pop song.
And of course [...]

Reader Mail, re: Sox

October 30th, 2004 No Comments

I tend to ignore any and all content involving baseball, but one of our (alas, fake-email anonymous) readers has apparently been, um, enjoying Al’s prolific output re: the World Series. Brace yourself:

Hi from Beantown! Beans are actually legumes, for those of you who have never been to the Northeast. Well we did it again! 86 [...]

OBL

October 29th, 2004 No Comments

I am very tired as I have spent most of my day writing a 10 page memorandum on child custody law in Missouri.
Anyway, I wanted to throw in my two pennies worth about OBL resurfacing.
If, in fact, that OBL is stepping down and leaving a void; I am not convinced that leaves the door for [...]

Still basking in the glow

October 29th, 2004 No Comments

The Red Sox parade happens tomorrow. I am geting up at 5 a.m. to find some place to watch the parade as 3 million people will converge on Boston to partake.
As I thought about Boston’s incredible World Series run, I think it is now the greatest moment in sports history. The Miracle on Ice, I [...]

Bin Laden is Back and He’s Fuzzy

October 29th, 2004 No Comments

I’m in a rush, but I must make a small post.
Osama is alive! The Atlantic Monthly was right and I was wrong. I guess that’s why I subscribe.
But what on Earth was that speech by Bin Laden? It sounded like Michael Moore. And then I went to Andrew Sullivan [...]

Forget the Beatles, It’s the Wiggles!

October 29th, 2004 No Comments

For those of you that have children or will have children, there is a group out there that make U2, Lincoln Park, and every other rock band look like complete amateurs as far as arousing enthusiasm and selling tickets goes. They are called “the Wiggles” and they are Australian.
Dressed in their Star Trek-looking outfits, [...]

Terrible Choices

October 28th, 2004 No Comments

It says a lot about how horrible the candidates for President are when in this massively polarized environment Bush-haters and anti-Bush publications say, “We don’t like John Kerry at all but…” and when usual hardcore conservatives (and even the founders of neo-conservative thought) say “we are conservatives but we’re not voting for Bush.”
These have to [...]

I could not tell my original Tessie blog was posted. So, here is the link.
Boston is tired and delirious. Red Sox Nation is stunned with elation. Even my property class professor used the Red Sox as conditionals in vested interest hypotheticals. The curse has been reversed in a wicked dominating way.
Coincidently, Tessie and the curse [...]

I have pics but I’d like to post them to the Glog. Dorrk.com can you privately email log in page and password to me please. I lost the first email you sent.
I’ll write [...]

New York State of Mind

October 27th, 2004 No Comments

A friend of mine was sharing that the last time he was in New York, he was riding the subway when some guy pushed his way into the subway car as the doors were closing. The subway conducter didn’t like it and over the intercom system he began to berate the guy who had [...]
